Collecting information from several sites into a table
Write what to collect and in what form you want it. When it is done, a Download card appears in the chat; after saving, open it directly with Open file · Open folder.
Filling in the same form many times
Ask something like "submit an application for each person on this list". It fills in fields, check boxes and drop-down lists, and checks the result before moving on so nothing is submitted twice. If the list is in a file, attach the file.
Posting to a blog
Ask something like "write this up as a Naver Blog post and publish it". On Naver Blog, Tistory and Blogger it fills in the title, body, subheadings, images and tags the way each site expects. Attach images to upload as files. If you only want a draft, write "draft only".
When a verification code or banking app approval is needed
The AI brings that tab to the front and tells you what it needs. Handle it in the browser yourself, or type the code in the chat box and it carries on. It ticks "I'm not a robot" check boxes itself and only hands over picture puzzles.
Adding instructions mid-task
You can type in the chat box even while the AI is working. What you write is passed on to the task in progress. To make it stop, click Stop.
Having it read files on your PC or upload them to a site
Attach files with the paper clip button (Attach files). It looks at images and reads text and CSV files. Your original files are left untouched. If attaching every time is a chore, add folders in Preferences → Files. The AI only reads those folders.
Finding a page you saw before
Turn on Record pages I read and apps I use in Preferences → Context, and you can ask things like "summarize that investment article I read yesterday again". List sites and programs not to record, separated by commas. Click the eye icon in the chat to pause, or Delete all to clear everything.
Giving tasks from your phone while away
Click Link now in Preferences → Remote, scan the QR code with your phone camera and tap Start in Telegram. That is it. Now send tasks in Telegram, and OpenSide on your PC does them and replies. OpenSide must be running on the PC, so turning on Run at boot helps.
Using several AI accounts
Click Add in Preferences → Account to choose Sign in to Codex (ChatGPT account), Claude API key... · OpenAI API key... · Gemini API key.... For OpenAI, changing the address lets you use other services that work the same way. Pick the account for new chats with Set default.
Keeping it running after closing the window
With Minimize to tray on close on, clicking the window's × sends it to the tray instead of quitting. To quit completely, right-click the tray icon and choose Quit. To keep it beside your browser, turn on Always on top.
Choosing between Chrome and Edge
It works in the browser where Remote debugging is on. If both have it on, the Windows default browser comes first. If a connection is needed after restarting the browser, the A browser connection is needed window tells you what to do.
